I.E: Gauntlet Update ( + additional features and polish)

I added a boss rush to my boss rush

Literally hours after submitting this to the Jam I realized it'd probably be good to have a mode for people that wanted a to play a pure boss rush game. So today, I implemented Gauntlet mode, which is an additional game mode that pits the player against all the bosses of the game without any of the exploration fluff in-between the battles. It ups the difficulty too by setting all the bosses to their full power and getting rid of the heart container rewards at the end of boss fights. So if you just want to slay some bosses, try out Gauntlet mode.

The game now also records various statistics, such as how much damage you take and how accurate your blaster shots are, which are all displayed to you when the game ends.

(Currently the new game version is exclusive to the Windows build which you need to download. A browser version should be available soon)

Other updates:

• Added a loading screen when starting the game, along with a little animation
• Added a hyperlink to my Instagram page in the main menu
• Added more sound effects to enemies
• Applied a better texture to some visual effects, and added vfx in places that lacked them
• Fixed an exploit in the liver fight where you could sever both veins from one side of the arena
• Increased the intensity of screenshakes
• Added a damage blood-splatter animation to the player

Known bugs for this version

• There's a some abnormalities with the attack sequences for the lung boss fights, with some of the wind attack executing multiple times and overlapping, as well as the laser attack sound effect looping when the attack is not happening, and the laser hitboxes remaining inactive at some points. I will need to fix this another time, but for now these bosses are playable enough to defeat like normal.
• There seems to be an issue with how swing accuracy is calculated on the results screen, with the stat sometimes exceeding 100%.
• Some of the text on the result screen isn't aligned properly.
